The history of fly fishing goes back nearly 2,000 years many cultures around the world have adopted many styles of fly fishing. In recent years there has become a very popular sport and is practiced around the world.

The basics of fly fishing are simple enough to be learned in a few hours with the assistance of a guide. Mastering advanced techniques of sport is a completely different ball game and has many years of dedicated effort. These factors maintain interest Fishermen of all life.

Fly fishing is versatile enough to be adapted to a wide range of fishing conditions. Whether you are fishing trout in a mountain stream in Europe or North America, or even cast a fly for bonefish in the Caribbean. The sport is so flexible that it has become very popular worldwide.

The first recordings of the fly fishing show that this fishery was conducted by fishermen from Macedonia. It uses six foot rod and six lines foot attached to artificial flies made of a hook decorated with insect wings and red wool. Very little was written about fly fishing in recent years, but the 1496 Treaty was published on fishing at an angle. Later, in 1653 Izaak Walton wrote a "The Complete Angler 'book contains several chapters about fly fishing. All information in these books indicates that the fact that fly fishing is a well – known for sport fishing in England and Scotland. Many flying clubs fishing began in the 1800s in England and this served to popularize the sport much.

Surface water courses of rivers in southern England chalk were suitable for dry fly fishing because of the growth of weeds just below the water level. North of England and Scotland also saw the growth of fishing wet fly. Fishermen in southern England, were in favor of dry fly fishing and wet fly considers a distortion of the poor fishing for their sport. Even Today, the English continue to carry out fly fishing in the rivers of chalk, but access to the currents is mainly through private property.

The U.S. fishermen in the Catskills in New York began to experiment with the dry fly in the late 1800s designs. It began designing artificial flies to imitate the insects that trout feed on. Some of the released fishermen fishing adventures, which served to increase interest in fly fishing even more. American fishermen were more open to experimentation in the wet fly fishing, compared to English.

The interest in fishing fly has continued to grow in the U.S. and Canada. After the Second World War, fiberglass rods were manufactured along with leaders of synthesis and line. Sport thus became accessible to people interested in fly fishing. Dry flies used for fishing in inland waters of rivers and streams. Inshore fishing is carried out in the bays and wet flies mainly used. Bass fishermen have also been adapted fly fishing.

The places in the hemisphere south and the Caribbean are popular destinations for fly fishing saltwater. The fishermen travel long distances to fish for tarpon and bonefish. Belize in South America offers both, saltwater and freshwater fly fishing.

The basic equipment needed to start fly fishing is becoming more affordable due to technical improvements in the field. The popularity of the sport is growing worldwide. There are plenty of opportunities and choice of locations for fly fishing is unlimited.

End of fuel and lack of energy

In the past 100 years, new appliances, dishwashers, microwaves and conditioners air have been invented. Because these inventions, we are using more energy than ever before. It is expected that fossil fuels currently used for sources energy is used within 50-200 years. When this happens, cities around the world will need alternative sources of energy. Fortunately, there are several sources renewable energy are being developed and used throughout the world.

This is the year 2080, and power the city is in a crisis energy. The recent power outages have left outraged citizens, without the use of computers, entertainment centers at home, light, and cordless phones. Blackouts are attributed to lack of fuel to run the Electric City Power Plant, which generates all the electricity for the city. Until now, coal has been the only City source of energy. This has always been cheap and readily available, but supplies are diminishing rapidly.

Wind power U.S.

Wind is the world's fastest growing alternative energy resources. In the United States wind turbines in twenty seven states to create a powerful enough for more than one million families. The Altamont Pass in Northern California is home to the country's oldest wind farm which is also the world's largest indoor seven thousand turbines.

Cape Wind Energy

Several years ago, Cape Wind first proposed U.S. park offshore wind farm in Horseshoe Shoal in Nantucket Sound. Miles from the nearest coast, one hundred thirty wind turbines that will reach a height of two hundred sixty-three feet occur up to four hundred twenty megawatts of clean, renewable energy. Amid winds, Cape Wind will provide three quarters of the Cape and Islands electricity needs. The wind turbines will be spaced six to nine football fields apart, leaving space for the navigation of shallow-draft boats that pass through or fish Horseshoe Shoal. The turbines are located in 24 square miles of Nantucket Sound. General Electric wind turbines designed for use at sea would be used. The site was chosen because it was very favorable for the development of wind (perhaps the best on the East Coast). The area has strong and consistent winds are near power lines ground, while being protected from high waves. The permit is scheduled for completion in 2008 and the project completion timeline is 2010.

In any legal sense three nautical miles out under the administration of the State of Massachusetts. Beyond three miles, where the draft is proposed, is administered by the Federal Government. However, for residents of the Cape and Islands, the project is seen being built in their backyard.

In fact, opposition to the project has been widely and public opinion polls have consistently shown Cape Cod divided population on Cape Wind. There are several reasons for measuring opposition to the project. The tourism industry in Cape accounts of nineteen thousand jobs and if the sight of wind turbines hurts tourism at the Cape, will lose jobs and the economy and property values are depressed. While the first study of environmental project said the damage to wildlife in the area would not be significant, many people remain concerned about the effect of wind turbines in the marine environment of the area. Concern for birds flying in the turbines is also a problem. Some might argue that the solution is not wind, but other alternatives like hydrogen and that solutions to energy problems lies in solar energy or fuel cells, not wind energy.

If you are an environmentalist and lives on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, the proposed offshore wind farm presents a real dilemma for you. The project would provide clean energy, but invading a pristine natural area of the oceans. Could be seen as a way to reduce air pollution or a problem for marine species and birds. Can be seen as a way to replace our dependence on foreign oil or other equivalent government financed the Big Dig. It can be considered as a progressive solution to the problems of our environment or a way for greedy developers ruin the Cape Cod area more.

The wind turbine project in Nantucket Sound is unique that is an argument of environmentalists against environmentalists. No pure "green" solution to the issue. You can see the wind turbines as a progressive solution to energy issues of our generation. However, wind turbines can also be seen an invasion ugly man in the sea and it is not the potential to create chaos (in ways that do not yet understand) to marine species and birds.

These are the complex economic and environmental issues for the residents of Cape Cod and islands to be considered in respect of the proposed Cape Wind first American offshore wind farm in Nantucket Sound.
