Need expert advice fly fishermen and women.?

I used to go fishing for perch in Louisiana. I now live in fly fishing is popular and intrigues me. I've heard is not as easy as it sounds. The problem is, as I have gotten older, I will not hurt anything. I do not judge or belittle other than fishing or hunt, but it's something I feel is not for me .. Because of a weakened immune system, can not be around crowds, so this could be a good hobby for me. (even if difficult to learn) I like being challenged. Now, (Please do not laugh at me). I want to fly fish without a hook and I wonder if I will be able to tell if a fish grab my bait. I know you do not barbed hooks, but still prefer not to use the hook. Can you answer my question? Please do not call me crazy or something. I'm a little sensitive., I am "poor, so I use fishing surveys of my father or I have to buy special? If I do, I find second hand sporting goods stores? What brand do you suggest? Thanks!

Fly fishing is not that difficult, but the fly is what CASTING have some practice. There is an excellent DVD taken from Joan Wulff fly fishing and this may be the best way for you to learn the basics given their situation. You can found on the Internet. Soon it will be very frustrated trying to Fly Cast with the type of posts is likely to already have. There are some inexpensive bars there but you get what you pay and definitely stay away from fiberglass rods. There are numerous methods of fishing, using different kinds of flies. If you do not actually want a fish, he'll be limited to the use of dry flies that float on the water surface. In these flies, it will generally be able to see when a fish rises and takes the fly. All other types of flies are used sub-surface. Good luck with that. It's a great way to spend time away from home.
