Bariloche is one of the most beautiful areas of Patagonia, Argentina. This wonderful town was named after the Indian word meaning vuriloche people on the other side of the mountain and the Charles, in honor of the famous German settler Carlos Wiederhold, who was the owner of a store important city in the early twentieth century.
This wonderful site is situated in the province of Black River and within Nahuel Huapi National Park, beside the lake of the same name.
Bariloche is known as the capital of tourism in Argentina because of its stunning scenery, mixing adventure with the quiet mountains of pure nature. On the coast of the city, visitors can practice water activities such as rafting, kayaking and sailing, and hills in the area, do outdoor activities like trekking, hiking, climbing, paragliding, among many others.
Other major lakes include Lake area and Lake Moreno Gutierrez, places where visitors can go fishing and fly fishing. Some of the species to be found are the rainbow trout, brown trout, river trout, mackerel and croaker.
Bariloche has some typical travel visitors must take during your trip to this city. One is the small circuit, a tour of the Lake Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno to discover beautiful places like Playa Bonita, Llao Llao Peninsula, Puerto Scarf and Campanario Hill, where passengers can take excursions on horseback to the top and observe the breathtaking view of the landscape.
Another popular excursion is the Andean Crossing that takes visitors through the border of Chile and Argentina, Bariloche crossing the coast. This starts the crossing Puerto Blest and some of their destinations are Puerto Scarf, Cold Lake, Cerro Campanario, Cerro Catedral, among others, enjoying charming landscapes. The circuit ends at Lake Llanquihue, Chile.
The visitors can also enjoy the beautiful shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi as Bonita and Serena with cold water. Playa Bonita also can rent canoes and kayaks and diving boats and windsurfing practice.
In Lake Nahuel Huapi, there are many islands that are the perfect place to enjoy nature directly. These include Victoria Island, the largest lake, the island Huemul Sentinel Island and Chicken Island, where you can practice diving.
Another area to visit Myrtles National Park is incredible, with 800 meters of walkway where visitors can see these beautiful trees and smooth leaves logs high, with over 200 years old.
Bariloche is also a area famous for its skiing. Cerro Catedral is the most modern of them in Argentina and is located just 19 miles from downtown. Among its attractions complex has 50 slopes for all levels, 600 skiable hectares and the best snow for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, mountaineering and trekking.
Cerro Otto is another ski resort in Bariloche, where visitors can practice cross-country skiing or take a chairlift to see an aerial view of the area and its beautiful landscapes.
The Tronador Hill, an extinct volcano on the border between Chile and Argentina, is impressive to see destination during the trip to Bariloche. It has ten glaciers as the Black Glacier Glacier, named for its dark color of the products of ice mixed with sediments and rocks. Visitors can climb to the glaciers and the summit of the mountain excursions with expert guides.
