loch fly fishing

I had my reservations about going to Scotland in the winter. For much of my life I had lived in southern England, and had rarely been further north Birmingham, and to be brutally honest it was cold enough. However, a good friend had recently moved there and had invited me for the weekend.

I decided to use a car hire company in Scotland as I thought my little rust bucket, a classic Fiesta, but to run through the city is not could rely on to drive all the way to Scotland and was certainly not reliable or sufficient heat to travel throughout the highlands.

After chatting with my friend we decided to eliminate some details of the trip and said it would be much easier to fly to Glasgow and use a car hire company at the airport. She had moved on the banks of Loch Lomand, near the city of Balmaha, a more picturesque could be imagined, and that seemed to contain the essence of Scotland.

As my friend was in the business of the fortunate to work from home did not have a car, something of a recluse in his Scottish idyll insisted during the period of my stay I like to use a car rental service in order to display some of the sights of Scotland had to offer. Having never been so far north that was more than happy to do this, but goes just as spring was breaking like a risk for me, it snowed a lot this far beyond the Watford gap.

Power on arrival at Glasgow airport, I went straight to the table of the car hire company and after the usual procedure of signing the forms and give details credit card that has the keys to a Focus, this was a step from the beaten party in my way and much warmer too.
Trying to find my way at the airport was not easy, but suddenly I was in the minor roads that travel through some of the most landscapes in Scotland, I could see why my friend moved here.

On arrival at the small town of Balmaha the most dominant feature was the proximity to the huge lake, I was heading in his direction because I knew my friend's house would be near water. He was waiting outside his door when I arrived, his first reaction was joke with me that the car hire company had given me a better car than the pile of trash back home, he loved to criticize this car, despite getting us out of distress to many during our college days.

Her house was beautiful, this time actually landed on his feet, three bedroom cottages overlooking the small lake with a dock and fishing boat. Time is expected to be maintained so that the fishing shows he described as the best in Scotland. There were seen the golf course on the road and asked if the weather was good we could go a round? After all not going to Scotland and play golf would certainly be a farce.

That night he drank whiskey and telling stories of our time in college together, I really had lost my friend and I saw that he also lost the company Peer closely. For the next few days time and we have extended the game of golf and fishing for the content of our heart, catch a fish dinner pretty good. Just left the city doing that seems to use the car rental service has been a kind of waste, a taxi from the airport would probably have been cheaper and easier.

I went to my early morning flight the promise of seeing my friend before, had been great to catch up and clearly hermit My friend, as the existence in Scotland was to reach it. Hopefully the next time you be able to bring together some of the other boys to come, so it is a bit of a occasion. I went into the car hire depot and put the keys on the desktop.

A flight back was faster in the south, my fears Scottish climate had been unfounded and the golf courses until they were brilliantly maintained. I would definitely go back to Scotland, but the next time instead of using a car hire company or I take a taxi from the airport or take the party faithful across the road. To see the face of my friend is throwing in the decrepit engine would make the arduous journey well worthwhile, but even he can stop constantly ribbing me get a new car.
