Has anyone purchased online fly fishing gear?

My father needs a new fly fishing reel – so I was thinking. This has some Fly Reels good articles and it seems http://www.classicflyfishing.com/

I bought quite a few things in fishing line fly, but I've never bought anything "blind". That is, I have never investigated a major online shopping and bought unless at least looked at and handled in a store. Always I chose what I wanted (a rod or reel or whatever) to try out first in a store or borrow from a friend after shopping online. Online retailers they can offer bigger selections and better prices than brick and mortar stores. While I try to support my local retailers, sometimes you have to go online to get what you want the best price. I think I've looked classicflyfishing.com once or twice but I never bought anything there. I have heard praise for Hardy reels, but are a little out of my price range – I'm not sure I've ever seen one. So far I have had no trouble catching fish in the coils in price from $ 100 range, but if that's what your dad wants and will get one, all I can say is that – you are a very good son. Heh.
