Fly fishing for attaching the hook?
Ok so recently I've been fishing in the lake (trout fishing) on hand and whenever I catch a fish always fish seem to lose as I am about to net it. What I'm thinking is that The Way I Am to catch the fish??? I pull the rod when a bite me or should I just pull the line as fast as you can not break the back bar?? Always keep the tension when the fish is fighting me, even when it closed in the floating tube, but fish is still managing to unbutton themselves. What am I doing wrong????
Most often that you want lift set in the trout. Simply raise the bar in the shot. How difficult to establish depends on the strength of the tippet and the hook size. If you play a fish too long hook at the end you can use a larger hole and if you have any slack when landing the fish, which can sometimes go back. To do otherwise would to land a fish if it's too green and wild thrashing about can twist off the hook in a firm line. Since you're getting the hook in the fish and playing network, setting the hook is not the problem. Sets Gaza are more commonly used in saltwater fly fishing.
