Iceland is the westernmost country of Europe, and occupies a strategic location in the North Atlantic, halfway between the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, on the edge of the Circle Arctic. One of the coldest countries in the world, is also one of the most volcanically active world. Iceland, which today is known for its mix glaciers, with bubbles of hot springs, volcanoes, fjords and fire resistant.

Iceland more rewarding long path walking away is close to the glacial lagoon, Jokulsarlon. The trail Porsmork is one of the world's most challenging trails. On the south coast, you can take a ferry to the Vestmannaeyjar (Westman Islands) to study the largest puffin colony in the world and have a look at Surtsey, the new island created by volcanic eruptions in the decade 1960.
When to go
Iceland's weather is so unpredictable. In summer, there's a fair chance bright and sunny day. Many bus routes into the interior not begin until late June or early July when the snow melts, finally.
