I'm new to fly fishing and I live in Olympia Washington.?
We have been fishing in the river Dechutes in Tumwater, but you have not had much luck I do not know if we are in a bad place or not, but I like fishing. so if anyone knows a good place to fly fish near Olympia Washington or in this area, please respond to this thanks.
I'm jealous!
You live in a beautiful part of the country to fly fishing. I started fly fishing a few years ago. I heard nothing for a long time. I suggest you be hiring a guide to show you the ropes or find a friend with more experience. I went fly fishing in several times with my more experienced brother in law and have learned boatloads. He learned much of the hiring of guides. One thing I learned about fishing is that the protocol is not accepted to the list of specific sites and locations … otherwise these places are flooded with people fishing. (In fact, some monitoring fishing forums refuse to publish any ads with specific locations in them). I did not know when I started reading online. Mocked me in a forum. Good luck!
