Victoria

Located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island is the city of Victoria. It has a population of about 390,000 and still growing due to its mild climate compared to other parts of Canada – to please those of retirement age and attract mass tourism to the city and its environs in the summer months. The history of Victoria dates back to early 1700 when its first occupants were the Salish.
