Once you make the decision you wish to become part outside the world of fly fishing, you have to decide whether to keep or release catch again in drinking water and sound. Some fishermen keep all the fish they catch, others release all catches, and some prefer to use a combination of the two.

These fly fishermen keep only what they eat, or give to others to eat, and release all other fish they catch.

If you decide to practice fly fishing using the catch and release method, which is very important to crush the barb of the hook to be used. The other option is to use a hook without barbs. This is to prevent unnecessary injuries to the fish. It is also important to keep the fight as short as possible so the fish do not get tired too. At the first opportunity, bring the fish to hand but out of the water. While holding under the water, remove the hook with a pair of fishing pliers.

If the fish seems to be too tired to swim, hold gently just below the water surface with a hand in any caudal wrist, which is right in front of the queue. With the other hand, support the fish in its belly. Rock fish carefully back and forth making sure that water enters your mouth and flows over their gills. Using this method, the Fish should get your energy back quickly. When you feel the fish try to get away, gently release your hold on it. Using the method of catch and release Fly fishing can be very rewarding.

Often fishermen believe they should release the smaller fish they catch and keep the larger ones. Such may not be aware that larger fish usually represent the most appropriate genetically spawner. They are the ones who are the most valuable fish species to maintain of health. It is wiser to keep the smaller fish to eat and release of the greatest back in the water.

Some people, while fishing fly, believe it's OK to catch as many fish as possible while releasing them all. However, the catch and release is not infallible. Many fish are injured during the process and some even die. Sometimes, even though the fisherman does not meet any of the fish you catch, the overall mortality rate of fish that day is greater then if he had captured and held the legal limit. Most fish, even if they are physically injured, will sulk for a while after being released by the trauma of being caught and released.

Catch and release fly fishing can be a wonderful way to experience sports. Each release a fish contributes to conservation efforts to ensure the future of that future stocks of fish.
