Estuaries fishing?
What is the best technique to take savage murderer in the Northern California coast? Flying fish and Spincast.
Searun Murderer is a great fish to catch. Please release all those who make the catch. I do not know about the fish in California, but up here in Washington, which were nearly wiped out until they did Catch & Release in Puget Sound. Now there are numbers to back up a fairly healthy and are great fun to fish. Please go in whatever barbless flies and lures and hooks for single use. The murderer acts only on it in salt water and fresh water, except they are larger predictors that have to watch. They like to hang around the structure, whether stones or posts or whatever, like the security of the structure also that gives wide coverage to attack prey. Searuns usually hang around places where fresh water flows into salt water, most likely to make his rounds by streams or rivers and spawn and then return to salt. Journey, however it not always about freshwater inflows. They feed near the coast, very close. If you are in a boat the ideal way to fish for them is release their right to fly over the edge of the water extraction and then start walking The fish usually follow in a fly or lure to the boat almost before they deny nor with vengeance. You can use a weight forward floating line or a clear intermediate head shooting. No need for a sink tip line. If fishing from the shore would not get out. The fish are in very close. Cast out at an angle of 45 degrees and the pull on your line, keeping the rod tip toward the water. You will want to put it in almost to the end or the beginning of their leader. Vary your speed of recovery, slow a rapid, intermittent, are sometimes pauses, only to discover what are the keys on that day. For flies, go smaller salmon flies. Crazy Charlies are good or just a plain old streamer, tied on a # 6 and # 8 hook. Chartreuse is a great color here or chartreuse and white, with white on the bottom. Sardines imitations or anchovies also a good job, second only to that use for salmon. You can always try some sort of pink shrimp flies. Woolly Buggers work searuns well as for most of the streamers that can fish in fresh water. If you use a single flight plan of freshwater on the elimination of it after spent time in salt water, but they work great when you use them. Searuns to move much. Choose an area and plan to make a few casts and then raise or lower the a few and reissued the beach for a couple of times, then move again. If you look long enough you can find, plus there's always the possibility of collecting some other fish. A 5-weight rod is a light, and you want to go, 6-weight is a bit better, especially if you catch any other fish. Good fishing. Larry
