Britain is steeped in tradition of donkey rides to the dance and every tree in the middle of May. Bingo is undoubtedly one of the favorite countries and became popular in sixties. As well as its traditional room, bingo is played in social clubs and festivals of the church, as part of a good old trip to the beach.
The British version of bingo is played on a card that has three rows of five numbers, fifteen in total, ranging from 1-90. The object is to be the first strike of card numbers as they are announced by the bingo game caller. The jackpot for the game is usually paid in three stages, the first (and usually more low) to the player who is first to fill a line, the second for the player who gets two games and the pot goes to the first player to call three lines, which is more known was a full house.
Although bingo is undoubtedly our favorite tradition, we also added five more down. Make your choice of what most you like.
Changing of the Guard
Get to Buckingham Palace and you will be able to see the Changing of the Guard. Each and tomorrow at 1130 hours, new guards, wearing bright red uniforms and bearskin hats take the place of the old 30 guards in a ceremony that lasts about 45 minutes. Changing of the guards goes back to 1660, during the reign of Charles II.
Fish and Chips
In the cold dark nights of rain (it will be more nights later), nothing tastes better than some fish and chips. The dish has been popular among the English working classes since the second half of the 19th century, when trawling became widespread in the Sea North. Haddock and cod are the main options in most of the 'birds' and are generally accompanied by a portion of mushy peas, bread and butter and sprinkled with a good old cup of tea. Although the food is presented these days is mainly white setting, is used to enter the old newspapers hence the saying, "Today's news is tomorrow's chip paper."
Midsummer Day
Ever wonder why you can not Glastonbury move to a drier time of year? Well, the reason that often dragged event is held in the last full weekend in June, is so it coincides with the summer solstice, more commonly known as the summer day.
Midsummer Day falls on 21 June each year in the northern hemisphere and is the day when the sun is in the sky for the longest. Celebration of this day, many consider the most fortunate of the year, back to the time pagan, when people light bonfires to thank the sun. If you fancy making mid-year summer memorable day, why not be achieved until Stonehenge today where Druids still party hard.
Ravens
Nine of the crows (which are big crows) are currently living within the precincts of the Tower of London. The Birds have their wings clipped, as they say, if you ever leave, then the entire British Monchary fall. Although little is known of the legend occurred when the birds have been unable flying from Charles II, still reeling after the execution of his father by Oliver Cromwell, heard the legend and ordered it to maintain its good. Hopefully they have a laptop computer so you can still enjoy all the fun of online bingo.
Telegrams
Reach old age of 100 large and not just will play for a lot of bingo games, you will also receive a telegram from the queen. British monarch has been sending telegrams to centenarians citizens since 1917, when the Queen's grandfather George V was on the throne. Pass the 100 mark and you'll have to wait for its 105 to get your next birthday greeting of Madge, but after you get one in after each birthday. Telegrams were sent to couples who are celebrating its 60th Diamond 'wedding anniversary.
