France and Spain have the Costa del Sol and Costa Azul. Rednecks have the Emerald Coast and the Redneck Riviera, stretching around the city without a doubt the sexiest U.S. New Orleans. From the Apalachicola area in Florida (which is the bulk between the belt and turn south on the Gulf Coast) and wrapping the Louisiana coast, the Riviera has Redneck with every imaginable playground for children of the countries. Described by some as the Mardi Gras with a beach, the Redneck Riviera is a great place to vacation, bikini-watch, surf, or simply watch the sunset on a beach chair.
A small sample: sea fishing, river fishing shallow (boat or fly or what love), all imaginable water sports, gambling, military museums and the Angels precision flying team of blue, white sand beaches lined with fantastic bars and nightclubs, and plenty of historical sites, good golf and nearby attractions like Disneyworld. Some of the best places along the Redneck Riviera remain include:
Destin, Florida, is Florida's premier destination for Spring Breakers, and it should be. A combination of stunning beaches and great bars and places frequented to provide the best individual beach strip hundreds of miles, and is secured in the third season spring break to find good deals on first line Beach condos and lots of restaurants with world-class, with prices for your pocket. A few miles away, provides an experience Sandestin most exclusive holiday, including a world-class golf course. Oh, and did I mention is called Destin World Luckiest Fishing Village? Destin is known for its great fishing on the high seas and will find it easy to rent a boat to go out and catch the needle.
Pensacola Beach is built on the barrier island Pensacola, a city military. Because the community is designed to attract tourists and young military personnel (Navy and Air Force), you will find many places of assembly of singles, mostly filled with tourists from other (locals tend to be closer to Navarre or Gulf Breeze to the bar crawl). The Blue Angels put on regular air shown here, as well as improvised practices, and the museum of naval aviation is unbeatable if you like military aircraft. The Pensacola area is also great for sewage canoe, where the tea colored rivers flow gently into the Gulf. Do not rely on the maps here, ask a local. Hurricane Ivan ago years broke off parts of the island, and not all roads go where they claim.
Gulf Shores, Alabama is as far as you can go see the wide beaches protected. Beyond here, the barrier islands that surround and protect the Florida coast by the end are swept across the Mississippi delta. This is a great golf destination, but it is also perfect to just relax and sit in the sun with a margarita listening to some Jimmy Buffett.
Dauphin Island is just off Gulf Shores, and filled with houses built on stilts designed to prevent storm surges that come every year during hurricane season. As Pensacola, Dauphin Island has taken a blow from the recent hurricanes, but is still beautiful. It may be more family oriented to a single redneck looking for company you like, but it's a great place to go a quiet weekend to explore a new relationship.
Need a little more? The Redneck Riviera is only a little distance from New Orleans at the end Gulf Shores, not far from Orlando in the Destin side in Downtown Disney and other hangouts are increasingly attracting young singles in the region. And the small ocean regularly scheduled casino goes mobile for gambling cruises. You can find almost anything you care about on the Redneck Riviera.
