EPCOT stands for "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow" and how Walt Disney had envisioned was supposed to be a real city where people lived and worked. Do not be that way. Walt died in 1966 and the picture changes somewhat. It was not a planned city, but a theme park was put on the drawing board.

While the entrance to Epcot called "Future Word" has many wonderful attractions like Test Track, Mission Space, Spaceship Earth, the truly educational EPCOT is what is known as "Window to the World". Here you can find a lake surrounded with various flags of each topic as a different country.

Their children want to stay in Future World and enjoy the rides. Most kids think it's boring World Showcase. There are very few rides but is full of culture. Entering the World Showcase World Future seems only natural turn right and walk all the way around the lake in that direction. At least that's what I do 90% of the time.

The first country to come to is Canada. In Canada there is a large building known as "Hotel du Canada". Canada has a wonderful show called "O Canada, '" which is a 17-minute Circle Vision 360 film that features the culture of Canada.

Every country that has seen shops and these shops are genuine products imported from that country. It is at the top that these facilities are staffed with people of the country. These are usually students who have come to Disney World to work for a little while and see our culture. It's funny to me that we are seeing, but they look at us like that and learn how Americans behave. I hope that is a good thing.

His next country is the United Kingdom with its shops and bars. You can get real fish n chips "here.

In France with its response Eiffel Tower. In France you find French restaurants, shops and if you're lucky, pampering guests with their show jokes. Be sure to see "Impressions of France" another fantastic film in motion.

Just right next to France is Morocco and its shops. You feel like you have been transported in time. Now let's East, Japan and a wonderful gift shop in the East. The Bijutsu-kan Gallery always has interesting exhibits in its changing exhibition.

After Japan suddenly we are back in the United States in the U.S. flag. Here you can see an animated show with Mark Twain and Ben Franklin. Almost forgot that part import more. Between Japan and the U.S. is a small stand selling funnel cakes. Oh, kids will love.

However, for Italy. The music, shopping and chocolate, all tease your senses. Italy is relaxing and wonderful.

Each of the countries in World Showcase has a special "KIDCOT" area providing an opportunity for your child to interact with a native of the country you are visiting. Be sure to take advantage of that.

Now we move away Italy and Germany in a few steps. In Germany you will find Goebel and Hummel collectibles, mugs and Germany and cuckoo clocks. If you like German food, this is the place to stop and eat. The German Biergarten is a buffet with entertainment and good times. That will eat German style which means you sit with other people at the same table.

China is the next and not to be missed is "Reflections of China", another film of 360 degrees. China shops are also fun.

Tired already? Only a few countries more to go. Norway is next on the tour. Here your kids will love one of the best attractions at Epcot. "The Maelstrom" is a boat trip through the history of Norway. After that you'll be treated to a film about Norway. Shops Norway is full of trolls. Trolls Trolls large and small can be bought. Your children will love this country.

The last country is that we got to Mexico. Featured is an Aztec temple of Quetzalcoatl and inside you'll find a wonderful Mexican restaurant, shops, and a boat trip. This time the trip takes you through the culture of Mexico. I doubt you can stop smiling as we pass through.

EPCOT can be a rich experience for their children and out of World Showcase There is another learning adventure that will be fun for you and for children. Soarin is a film / ride that makes you fly over California's changing landscape. He feels, hear, see, and yes, smells California. This is not missed.

Enjoy teaching your children about the world. It's just a trip to Epcot away.
