Argentina is a country of astonishing diversity of climates and landscapes. It is also a country that has become a major producer of fine wines. De Mendoza, the capital of growing region in the foothills of the Andes is a beautiful city of wide streets and large squares made by green and shady trees on the sidewalks wide. You have to go skiing or hiking and horseback riding. The main reason for being in Mendoza in the spring is the annual harvest festival of wine, the Vintage, to wine tasting and more.

A week in winter is ideal for skiing in Las Lenas excellent. A sidetrip to Mendoza for wine tasting at a vineyard or two should be stimulating. Cross country skiing is also excellent Ushuaia.
Three days in Niagara Falls also allow a good view of the national park and a visit to the missions in ruins. Put a little contrast when combined with a day in Buenos Aires and two days among cattle in the Pampas, to get an idea of the gaucho culture and life on earth — the essence of Argentina.
When to Go
Argentina is in the southern hemisphere. Summer is from early December to March, autumn from March to May, winter, June to late August and early spring September to November. The country is so vast and so varied that there is always a good place to visit any season.
Northeastern areas around the Iguazu Falls are good to visit at any time, even in summer can be very hot. Winter is a good time to visit the northwest and its highlands, and many high altitudes being warm and sunny. The wine producing region of Mendoza can be enjoyed on any time of year, but trekking west of the city is best between December and March.

Argentina is vast, 2.8 million km square of immense diversity. Unless you spend a month, you can appreciate better the country by exploring an area in depth. International flights to Buenos Aires are abundant and should have no problem getting in or out. Within the country, domestic flights allow you to reach most destinations from the capital, within a couple of hours, but if you go by land, buses that cross the country overnight comfortable.
