Bamboo fly fishing rods are still very popular, despite the fact that a lot of fiberglass and graphite rods have appeared in the last half century. For many, however, casting a bamboo rod fly fishing is the only way forward: after all, if you're fly fishing in communion with nature, Why not use the bar more natural? A bamboo rod fly fishing combines history, art and sport.

Of course, bamboo rods fly tend to be a bit on the expensive side of the river, so to speak. So, if you are new to the sport, not worth the extra dollars. In fact, if you're just starting, a fishing rod fiberglass (the cheapest of the three) might be just fine for you.

Fishing rods graphite are perhaps the most common nowadays. Why? If you just try one, even one that is only average, will surely find which give you the power and performance you want. They can be very versatile as well.

So what is the difference between these three types of bars fly (bamboo, fiberglass and graphite), anyway?

Bamboo fly fishing rods

These are the best, most traditional bars. It may take more than 100 hours of labor to make a bamboo cane, the cane selection for packaging and finishing the bar. They also tend to be the most expensive. Just as there are those who paid a fortune to shape and pitch bend and make the violins, the same applies to fishing poles. Construction fly bamboo bar is a true art. Bamboo rods are more flexible than graphite and have a slower pace of action that is ideal for fishing and leisurely refined.

Fishing rods fiberglass

These are quite heavy for their size. It may even be 2 or 3 times as heavy as a size similar graphite shaft. You may not notice the extra weight, at first, but after a day of casting and recasting, it is difficult to ignore. The good thing These fly fishing rods, however, is that they are very durable and strong. You can use and abuse of a fiberglass rod, and take all the abuse in stride.

Graphite fly fishing rods

These are the toughest bar three. They are very strong for its weight. You can make graphite rods with fast or slow action. You find that you have more power, versatility and performance when using a graphite instead of a bamboo fishing pole. You can find rods graphite fishing found in the upper end of price range, but you can also find some good for very reasonable amounts. If you know that you are thinking of staying with the sport, it's a good idea to start with an average price of graphite rod in the first place (yes, a fiberglass rod might be fine, but a Graphite is better!)

Fly fishing for bass is one of the most exciting sports fishing in the world. This fish large mouth is probably the most sought after fish sports in the world. This might be due to the wide distribution of this fish in all that fresh water bodies makes this large mouth bass the popular game it is. The mouth bass attracts large fishermen to distant places such as southern Canada, South America and places in between. These sites also offer good play in the small mouth bass and although these species are not so widespread as their cousins big mouth.

This is found in warmer waters than large mouth grows to large sizes. Take an example of under 5 pounds, which is commonly found in the waters of the lake to the north.
